Cardamom is the dried, ripe fruit of Elettaria cardamomum. Cardamom is generally grown in India, Guatamala and Sri Lanka. The three sided, reddish - brown seeds of decorticated cardamom have a sweet, aromatic and floral flavor and aroma.
